The March 6 Wildlife Restoration Workshop had great speakers with a turnout of 30. The VA DGIF team of David Bryan and Justin Folks, both Private Lands Wildlife Biologists, presented work that can be done to restore habitat land and wildlife. They discussed the decline of grassland birds (quail) and other bird species of conservation concern and also the plus and minuses of pen raised quail. Lou Casciano, QUWF member, presented his story on what has done on his property to restore land and preserve all wildlife. Lastly, Evan Blumenstein, Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation, spoke about habitat work in Culpeper County and that money is available to fund projects. At the end of the night good questions were asked. We hope to see you at future events!
